The second annual “Race4Hope” will be held this year on Saturday, May 24, just south of Skaneateles. It is a ride and race in memory of Dick Shaffer, a local “devoted husband/father, competitive triathlete/marathoner and bicyclist, and just all around good guy who passed away from cancer in November 2006.” The event has a web site. Note that the date doesn’t conflict with the Syracuse Race Weekend.
