Once again, it’s that time of year and Jan Maloff and his volunteers are in full swing getting bikes ready for the Annual CNY Family Bicycle Giveaway.
For more than 15 years, the CNY Family Bike Giveaway has been providing families in need with bicycles and helmets, which enable youngsters and adults to have and enjoy not only bike, but all of the joys, benefits and memories that come with it.
How can you help:
- Donate a Bike and/ or Turn a Wrench - Every day from 10AM – 7PM CNY Family Bike Giveaway is accepting bikes and help in fixing bikes.
- Where – Bikes donations and repair work will take place at the Toyota Building located at the NY State Fairgrounds
- When - Between 10 AM and 7 PM from now until December 23rd.
- Donate financially – As always, funds are needed to purchase parts to refurbish most of the donated bikes. Any donations that you make are tax-deductible as C.N.Y Family Bike Giveaway is a registered charity.
Then, on December 24th the bicycles and helmets will be given away to families and children. This year’s give away will happen at the Oncenter in downtown Syracuse and the time will be announced in a coming email and postings.
So give what you can – time, a bike and/or some monies – and help share the joy of a bike and the season with youngsters and their families.
