52 riders came out today for the start of the OCC’s 2010 season. I don’t have too many details, but all seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. I understand that there was at least 1 flat (at the start, of all things) and 4 guests. I did see riders of all abilities.

Next weekend’s ride will be “Chitt-4, Oniontown or the Mucklands,” a flat ride with distances of 20 or 33 miles. It starts in Chittenango Plaza (west of Chittenango on Hwy 5; it is 1.8 west of 173 on what passes for downtown Chittenango) and is near a Rite Aid. Our “Map Start Points” has more details.

The ride leader, Dick Matthews, will make a call later this week on whether it will be Saturday or Sunday (the weather is the determining factor). It will be announced here.

We have some 130 rides and time trials to go before the season ends in late November. During the summer, we’ll be running 8 events per week.
