81 riders, including numerous guests, rode today in virtually perfect weather (well, OK, it was a bit windy). There was a wide variety of riders and it appeared that just about everyone found someone to ride with. I don’t know of any flats, but I did hear of one broken freewheel. Fortunately, it was very close to the start for the walk back.

The ride leader, Dave Baker, awarded two $10 gift certificates for purchases at the Bike Loft. The most colorful jersey award went to Mark Roemer, and Mike Lyon won for the most distinctive bike. Suggestions for awards for next weekend rides are being accepted; the current leader is an award for the person with the biggest smile at ride’s end.
