The ride leader’s driveway was sunny and warm and the air was still before leaving for the ride. But, alas, all was not like the driveway. The winds were steady from the west at around 15mph for the entire ride. Temperatures hovered very close to 50 degrees, so we were cool, but it was very tolerable.
Thirty-one club members and three guests were on the ride with mileages varying from 18 to 42 miles for the day. While there wasn’t much of a cross wind, the headwinds required spinning in lower gears. After having to make one phone call to search for one member who hadn’t signed back in, everyone was accounted for.
One couldn’t ask more for of an April ride. See you all next week.
