This Saturday and Sunday’s rides are Newcomer Rides. What are Newcomer Rides? Well they’re one part welcome to the club, one part see what we’re all about, and, like all club rides, simply about having a great time with some outstanding company.
In brief, Newcomers Ride is a fun less competitive club ride with all kinds of friendly people. (Or if you’re a little bit competitive you should still join us and you’ll be joined by like minded and equally friendly riders) Regardless, you don’t have to be a member and you need not be a newcomer to be welcome. Importantly, for those who are just getting started or less competitive in mind the shorter distances will be no-drop rides. i.e. I’ll be making sure no one is left behind.
So if you’re new to the club or not, if you have friends and family in town this weekend, join us and join the fun. We offer two great rides that will meet the needs and expectations of riders of any level. As always, check out the ride calendar for ride details, https://onondagacyclingclub.org/ride_calendar/index.php?month=07&year=2011
Saturday: The Oneida Lake-Cicero Swamp Ride. This is a flat terrain ride with 25 and 35 mile ride options. The ride start at the Gillette Rd. Middle School, Cicero off of South Bay Rd.
Sunday: The Tour de Little France Ride. Yep, in honor of you know what. This ride has both short and long options ranging from 30 to 100 miles. Obviously, the longer distance is for those looking for a challenge and for riders with experience.
