This year’s Fall Memorial Century will be held on September 15th and start at Carpenters Brook Fish hatchery. We will again be supporting the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis-Therapy Development Institute in honor of Paul Swinburne. Paul was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) a few years ago. This disease was particularly cruel for someone so active and athletic as Paul. He succumbed to the disease in the Spring of 2010. This ride was his last route creation and is in his memory. I think this is one of his best rides. Last year, through you generosity, we were able to raise approximately $2000 and hope to surpass that, this year. The course will be marked, and there will be water stops along the way. Following the ride there will be a party with plenty of food as riders return.

To register for the ride go to bikereg and enter Swinburne or https://www.bikereg.com/Net/17185 .  The pre-registration fee is $30.00 and the day of fee is $45.00 so register early it makes my life that much simpler.  For more info go to http://onondagacyclingclub.org/races-and-events/charity-ride/
