For both experienced and new bike racers: Come out and shake-off the cobwebs or learn about road racing! OCC, in connection with the Salty Chimp Race team, will be hosting Saturday race clinics at Salina Meadows every Saturday in April. Each class will focus on education about bike racing with a focus on race strategy and skills. These will be short discussions followed by practice while riding on a small closed road circuit. To help learn, we will divide into groups and practice various aspects of team and solo bike racing at each gathering. No previous race experience is necessary.
This series is being provided at no cost. There is a $5.05 USACycling insurance fee, the first Saturday of which will be covered by the OCC.
Update: No doubt the CNY spring weather hasn’t bee cooperating at all, ice cold rain isn’t fun for anyone, but the long term forecast looks like we may have a couple of good weekends.
