In case you don’t know, Ride with GPS is a website and smartphone app. Onondaga Cycling Club uses Ride with GPS to store our ride routes in a format that is compatible with GPS devices and phone apps. You can download these routes to a Garmin or similar device or navigate a route using a smartphone.
OCC now has a club account at Ride With GPS. All paid members of OCC can join the club account for free. Those that join will have access to advanced features while riding all OCC routes (almost 400). There are benefits no matter how you navigate.
If you use your phone to navigate, you can use the Ride With GPS app and get turn-by-turn navigation with voice prompts. You can also download the maps to the app at home and save mobile data while riding.
If you use a Garmin or other GPS bike computer, you can get advanced turn notifications. A popup appears on your screen before you get to the turn. You can even set how soon you get the popup.
If you use paper to navigate, you can print customized maps and cues.
For a complete list of benefits please visit Ride with GPS These benefits are only for the routes that are posted by OCC on Ride With GPS.

You can then tap on Organization Routes or Events. There you can scroll through events, routes or use the search icon to find the route you want to navigate. You can then choose Download or Navigate. If you want to navigate a route off-line (not using mobile data while riding), you can select Download. You then go to your Routes and Offline to navigate it.
You also get the route on your GPS-enabled bike computer.
I hope you find this membership benefit useful.
I just paid my membership (family) but did not get ridewithgps instructions, which I was hoping would get to me quickly.
