Volunteer Information:

This year the Onondaga Cycling Club is planning a bigger and better Race Weekend, and as in years past, the success of the event hinges on the volunteer support of the club membership and local community.

This year we have four events planned, starting with a Hill Climb Friday evening June 23rd 2017, our Time Trial  Saturday morning June 24th, the Criterium at the State Fair Saturday afternoon June 24th, and we wrap-up with our Road Race in Tully on Sunday morning June 25th, 2017.

As always, we have racers coming in from all over the US and Canada, and the success of race weekend hinges on the club members who come out and volunteer their time to make this a great event.

Note that there are NO scheduled OCC rides this weekend, so why not volunteer and get the best seat in the house for a great bike race.

FAQ:

  • Does someone need to be an OCC member to volunteer?  NO…anyone can volunteer for the event,

  • Do I have to have any previous experience?  NO…all of the duties are relatively simple,

  • I only have a few free hours this weekend, can you still use me?  ABSOLUTELY, there is no big time commitments.

As an extra incentive this year, all volunteers, regardless of which day you’re volunteering for, are invited to join us for dinner after the Hill Climb on Friday June 23rd at Beak & Skiff in LaFayette

Volunteers wheel and pace car drivers are eligible for $0.52/mile.

This year we’re again using BikeReg to organize our volunteers.
